When I saw that Colourpop was collaborating with Halo Top, I knew I had to check out the collection. Halo Top is my favorite ice cream brand (best dairy free ice cream with low calories, IMO) so I was so excited that Colourpop (my favorite makeup brand) was collaborating with them! The Halo Top x Colourpop collection is made up of four ice cream pints of two Super Shock Shadows based on the colors of the pints. There is Mint Chip, Strawberry, Birthday Cake, and Rainbow Swirl to choose from.
The Halo Top x Colourpop Mint Chip kit has two Super Shock Shadows: Semi Sweet and Tassel. Semi Sweet is a bright green with glitter and Tassel is white with silver glitter. I would probably use Tassel as an inner corner highlight and Semi Sweet would look good all over the lid. Out of all of the kits they created, this one is probably my least favorite just because green isn’t very wearable, in my opinion. Still very pretty though!
Okay, now the Halo Top x Colourpop Strawberry kit may just be my favorite one. The Halo Top Strawberry ice cream was my all time favorite until I became lactose intolerant. The dairy free pints are amazing but I hope and hope that one day Halo Top will finally make a dairy free version so I can have it again! Anyways, these two Super Shock Shadows are so pretty and I think I’ll get a lot of use out of them.
Berry Sweet is pink with gold glitter and Jam Out is a red-pink with gold and pink glitter. I honestly love pinky-red eyeshadows so this is perfect for me. I definitely recommend this kit because the colors are so pretty!
The Halo Top x Colourpop Birthday Cake kit is probably my second favorite out of the bunch. Orange eyeshadows are my all time favorite so this kit is perfect for me! If I had to choose two out of the collection it would be this one and the Strawberry kit.
This kit has two Super Shock Shadows: By the Pound and Extra Sprinkles. By the Pound is a creamy orange with glitter and Extra Sprinkles is champagne colored with gold glitter. These are both super pretty shadows but I know that By the Pound will get the most use from me!
Last but not least, the Halo Top x Colourpop Rainbow Swirl kit. This kit comes up third in my ranking but it is still very pretty. This kit is very pink and glittery. The two shadows in this kit are: Sherbert Day and Creamsicle. Sherbert Day is a bubblegum pink with silver glitter and Creamsicle is a “baby pink with a blue violet flip” according to the Colourpop website.
This kit is very pretty overall, but out of the two I think I’ll get more use out of Creamsicle over Sherbert Day. Creamsicle is a very subtle color which, to me, is good for everyday, while Sherbert Day is more of a bold choice which I do like as well.
If I had to pick my top 3 shadows out of the whole collection it would probably be: Jam Out, Berry Sweet, and By the Pound.
