My Everyday Makeup Routine 2019

My everyday makeup routine is made up of all of my favorite products. I sometimes switch some products out for others but for the most part they stay the same. When I need to get ready quick, I know that these products will always work for me so I don’t have to worry about messing something up in a rush. If you are interested in finding out what I use on a daily basis, keep reading!

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream ($12)

First step to my everyday makeup routine

The First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream is one I’ve already talked about in my 2019 Skin Care Routine post but I’ll elaborate on it here as well. Let me start by saying this lotion is awesome. It doesn’t leave a weird tacky feeling on your face and it also helps to calm eczema and redness. This is the only lotion I’ve found that I like to use on my face and I just love this brand in general because it’s great for sensitive skin.

Laura Mercier Oil-Free Foundation Primer ($38)

step two to my everyday makeup routine

The Laura Mercier Oil-Free Foundation Primer is one I’ve used for a long time. I’m actually looking to get a different primer because while this one is pretty good, I don’t love it. Not the primers fault at all though, I just think I need one with oil control or a mattifying effect or something. I do recommend this line though if you are looking for a primer – I used to use the hydrating one before my skin decided to do a complete 180 into being oily and I did like that one a lot. I might see if Laura Mercier has a mattifying one and try that because I do like how this primer feels on the skin.

Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick ($46)

step three to my everyday makeup routine

The Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick was one I had heard a ton about but never got around to purchasing. I thought that because other foundation sticks never really worked out for me that this one wouldn’t either so there was no point in spending the money. Let me tell you, I was so wrong. I love this foundation so much and use it every single day.

I found that this is great to layer with another foundation – I stripe this all over my face and use the second foundation and a beauty sponge to blend it all together. The Hourglass Vanish Stick Foundation gives you so much coverage (which I love) and has a really pretty finish to it. If you haven’t already tried this one, I highly recommend you do!

Cover FX Power Play Foundation ($44)

step four to my everyday makeup routine

The Cover FX Power Play Foundation is one of my all time favorite foundations. This is the one I use to blend out the Hourglass Vanish Stick, and I love the combination of those two. The Power Play foundation has a matte finish, is full coverage, and long-wearing. Another (silly) thing I like about this foundation is that it comes in a squeeze tube, haha. It’s actually nice though for real because you can really control how much product you’re using. I really like the Cover FX brand as a whole and want to try out more products in the future.

Tarte Shape Tape Concealer ($27) or L’Oreal Infallible Full Wear Concealer ($10)

step five to my everyday makeup routine

Okay, so I am including both of these concealers because I do like them equally. I switch on and off depending on what I’m feeling at the moment and don’t like one more than the other. The Tarte Shape Tape Concealer is the one I’ve had the longest and I have to say this concealer will always be top on my list. It has crazy full coverage and lasts all day, it’s amazing really.

The L’Oreal Infallible Full Wear Concealer is a newer one to me and it is already a staple in my routine. This also has great coverage and I love to wear this one alone to cover my under eyes even if I don’t have any other makeup on. It just looks really natural and brightens my face up. If you are looking for a more affordable version of Shape Tape, I recommend you try this one.

I do have a comparison of these concealers here if you’d like to check it out!

Cover FX Perfect Setting Powder ($35)

step six to my everyday makeup routine

The Cover FX Perfect Setting Powder is my all time favorite powder. I never found a powder that I liked and that kept me matte (or didn’t make my skin really dry when I had dry skin) before I tried this one. This Cover FX Perfect Setting Powder is just that – perfect. I apply this after my foundation and concealer to set everything in place using a big fluffy powder brush. I also use a smaller eyeshadow shader brush to set my eyelids and under eyes to prevent creasing.

After applying this powder my skin looks so good I really think this is magical or something. My under eye bags vanish and my skin looks flawless and matte. If you are looking for a new powder, I highly recommend you pick this one up!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo ($23)

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo is one of my favorites. It gives your brows such a natural filled in look rather than a bold effect. I used to use the brow wiz and loved it but I was a bit too heavy handed so my brows didn’t look that great, oops! Anyways, since trying the brow duo I cannot go back. I get my brows done so quickly and they always turn out how I want them. If you are wanting a more natural brow look, I would definitely try the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo.

step seven to my everyday makeup routine

Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette ($54)

step eight in my everyday makeup routine
clockwise from bottom: Urban Decay Naked Heat, Viseart Neutral Mattes, Colourpop Yes Please

The next step in my everyday makeup routine is eyeshadow. This is by far my favorite part of my makeup routine and also the one that takes me the longest. I love playing around with eyeshadow and creating new looks though so this is fun to me. My usual go-to everyday palettes are the Viseart Neutral Mattes palette ($90), the Urban Decay Naked Heat ($54), and the Colourpop Yes Please palette ($16). These palettes are all warm toned and orange based (which are my favorites to wear) and they all work really well together.

Benefit Roller Liner Eyeliner ($22)

step nine to my everyday makeup routine

The next step to my everyday makeup routine is eyeliner. I am using the Benefit Roller Liner Eyeliner right now and it’s pretty good, in my opinion. I find it easy to make a straight line across my lash line and the formula is very black and stays on all day.

Stila Huge Extreme Lash Mascara ($23) and Colourpop BFF Mascara ($8)

step ten to my everyday makeup routine

After eyeliner, I curl my lashes and apply my mascara. First I use the Stila Huge Extreme Lash Mascara then I apply the Colourpop BFF Mascara on top of that. I love both of these mascaras, especially together. They give my lashes insane length which is awesome. My lashes are already really long (I got lucky) but I get asked if I have fake eyelashes on all the time! I highly recommend both of these mascaras if you are looking for some new ones!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Blush Trio ($30)

step eleven to my everyday makeup routine

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Blush Trios are my favorite blushes I have. The one pictured is in Peachy Love, which is my favorite but I also have the trio in Pool Party which is more pinky. I love these blush trios because you can use the single colors or you can mix them, which is what I do. I mix the two end ones (the middle one is too dark for my skin tone) and love how it looks. It gives me the perfect flush without being too bright and over-powering. If you haven’t already tried these I recommend you pick one up!

Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray ($33)

step twelve to my everyday makeup routine

While everyone and their mom uses this setting spray, the Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Setting Spray is a favorite for a reason. This stuff is seriously amazing. I never thought I needed a setting spray until I decided to try this one anyways. This is basically hair spray for your face, haha. I could be out in the heat all day and my makeup will still look like I just put it on. I was amazed when I first tested this setting spray out and recommend it to literally everybody. They also have other kinds that cater to oily skin, dry skin, a priming spray, and one that shields against environmental pollution.

Colourpop Pressed Powder Highlighter ($8)

step thirteen to my everyday makeup routine

Now it might seem weird that I use setting spray before I put on highlighter but it makes your highlighter pop so much more when your skin is wet when you put it on. My favorite highlighter is the Colourpop Pressed Powder Highlighter in Dreamscape. This highlighter is white and extremely blinding. This shade in particular probably won’t work for everyone but my skin is so fair that this is perfect. Every time I use this I am blown away with how blinding it is. I highly recommend you try out the Colourpop Pressed Powder Highlighters, you won’t be disappointed!

Colourpop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick ($7)

step fourteen to my everyday makeup routine

I have already talked about the Colourpop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks here if you want more detail, but these lipsticks are amazing. They last all day and are so comfortable. I can eat and drink with these on and they don’t come off and I don’t need to reapply unless I want to. These are the only lipsticks I use now! My favorite shades are WYD, Lumiere 2, and Beeper.

That is all for my everyday makeup routine! It may seem like a lot but I get my makeup done in 30 minutes flat. I know that may sound like a long time but to me it isn’t a big deal at all. I love putting makeup on and trying out new things, especially eyeshadow! As always, if you have any comments or suggestions, send me an email or leave me a comment down below.
