Eyeshadow is probably my favorite part of my makeup routine. It really brings your makeup look to the next level and it’s where you are able to be as creative as you want. I tend to stick to warm tones, mostly shades of orange, but I am trying to branch out to different colors. Personally, I think orange eyeshadow looks best on me. I have light skin and green eyes and I don’t know, I just like how the color looks on me. I also love purples and pinks, but generally, stick to orange for my go-to eyeshadow color. If I’m in a hurry, I know if I use orange colors it’s guaranteed to have a good end result.
I am trying to get more creative with my eyeshadow looks because it’s fun to see what I am capable of. I want to experiment more with all colors, especially blue and green, and just create fun looks. I’m not so into just your basic brown eyeshadow look, not that I have anything against it, I just don’t think it looks great on me, personally.
These five eyeshadow palettes are my favorites right now and are ones I reach for every day.
1. Urban Decay Naked Heat ($54)
The Urban Decay Naked Heat palette is one I wasn’t sure I needed but now I can’t live without it. It’s right up my alley with the warm orange tones and I can always create a pretty look with this palette. I actually picked this palette up when I was able to use my Sephora points to get the $100 voucher they now offer, which was awesome!
2. Viseart Neutral Mattes 01 ($90)
The Viseart Neutral Mattes 01 palette is an expensive one for sure, but also one I can’t live without. This palette is totally worth it to me and I use it every single day. Even if I use another palette or two, I always use the white shade for my brow bone highlight. The white shade is also great for setting your concealer on your eyelid so your eyeshadow goes on smooth. I also love the orange tones in this one, yet again. As said before, this one may be pricey but it’s totally worth it to me and I want to pick up more matte palettes from Viseart in the future.
3. Colourpop Yes Please ($16)
The Colourpop Yes Please palette is one I wanted for so long but never bought. Now that I have it, I am so glad I picked it up. I use this one so much and I love the pop of yellow, very summery! I definitely recommend this one, especially at this price point you can’t beat it.
4. Urban Decay Naked Cherry ($54)
The Urban Decay Naked Cherry palette is another one I wasn’t sure I needed but I love it and I’m so glad I picked it up. I also used my $100 Sephora points voucher to pick this one up as well and I’m so glad I did. No regrets here! I love this palette because it’s a nice change from all of my orange palettes, haha. I can create some really pretty looks with this one, so I love it.
5. Colourpop Sweet Talk ($18)
The Colourpop Sweet Talk palette is a newer palette to me, but I love it! I love the colors in this one, so pretty and bright! This one goes really well with the Yes Please palette so they are a really good combo. The only thing I don’t love about this palette is the pressed glitters. I don’t love how they apply but otherwise, I love this one and definitely recommend it!
